POST-TOUR OPTION

THE BIG ISLAND OF HAWAII

The Big Island has it all: fiery volcanoes and sparkling waterfalls, black-lava deserts, tropical rainforests and alpine meadows, a glacial lake and miles of golden, black and green sand beaches.  The big island is the largest and the newest in this chain of islands and is the least populated.  It is nature in it's most primal state as it has the newest land on earth!

Our Itinerary is as follows:

Sunday, July 9  Maui Kona , Hawaii

We’ll transfer to the airport and board our afternoon flight from Maui arriving in Kona at our hotel just before sunset.  If there is one thing you must do each day in Kona, it’s enjoying the breathtaking sunset!  The Hilton Waikoloa Village is a resort like no other and a destination unto itself.  Located on the Kohala Coast of Hawaii’s Big Island , it is a breathtaking oasis of lush tropical gardens, endless lagoons and pools, oceanfront vistas, art and culture, abundant wildlife and an array of activities including golf, tennis and an interactive dolphin experience.  Canal boats and trams transport you around this glorious resort, our home for the next three days.  Tonight is a free night and we suggest you explore the town of Kona where there are many restaurants along the waterfront and nightlife.  We’ll arrange taxis and head over as a group to discover this fun area.

Monday, July 10  Kona , Hawaii

Today we’ll take you on a tour around the entire island of Hawaii .  You’ll see coffee plantations and macadamia nut orchards, a black sand beach and Hilo ’s Rainbow Falls .  We’ll show you Waimea Town and the Parker Ranch to see Hawaiian Cowboys.  The highlight of our day will be Volcanoes National Park where we’ll hike through a lava tube and explore the National Park, possibly seeing an erupting volcano!  Our full day tour gets us back to our hotel in the evening where you’ll want to relax and unwind.

Tuesday, July 11  Kona , Hawaii

Our day will begin at the Big Island Steakhouse where the breakfast is amazing!  Choose to spend the rest of your day enjoying one of the many nearby beaches, or perhaps take a helicopter adventure flying over an erupting volcano, go hiking in the mountains, hike to ancient petrogliphs or even spend some time with the dolphins located right on our property.  There is golf, shopping or enjoying one of the many pools on our property.  Whatever you choose to do on your last day in heaven, make it great!  Tonight we’ll enjoy a group dinner together, before going our separate ways tomorrow.
