Day 1: Sydney, Australia – Christchurch, New Zealand Immediately following our Australia tour, board our group flight to New Zealand. Our tour begins in picturesque Christchurch, situated on the Avon River and considered “the most English city outside of England”. A sightseeing tour features the Neo-Gothic Cathedral, the downtown park district, and stunning Victorian-style buildings. After, visit the International Antarctic Centre, the gateway for expeditions to Antarctica. Tonight, dine in a restored mansion – once the homestead of the first family to settle in Christchurch. (D)
Monday, November 15
Day 2: Christchurch – Queenstown This morning, take in the views of Mt. Cook and scenery as you travel to Queenstown, one of New Zealand’s most gorgeous towns. Enjoy a memorable dinner at the Skyline Restaurant overlooking Queenstown, the Remarkable Mountains and Lake Wakatipu. (B, D)
Tuesday, November 16
Day 3: Queenstown – Milford Sound – Queenstown Your ride to Milford Sound is lined with unforgettable beauty, taking you through beech forest into Hollyford Valley’s rugged grandeur and through the Homer Tunnel. Arriving at mesmerizing Milford Sound, sail away on a leisurely cruise that brings you through the deep fjord, surrounded by sheer mountains rising almost six thousand feet from the water’s surface. We’ll return back to Queenstown on a leisurely bus ride, or for those who are a bit more adventurous, an optional flight will be offered (weather permitting) to give you a whole new perspective of the overwhelming beauty of the land. Wednesday, November 17
Day 4: Queenstown This morning, enjoy an exhilarating jet boating experience on the Dart River. Discover the spectacular beauty that makes up the unforgettable Dart River scenery, as well as have the option of a short walk to hidden rock pools deep in Mount Aspiring National Park. This afternoon, enjoy time at leisure. Set amidst spectacular scenery, Queenstown is not only an adventure center, but offers excellent shopping and dining. (B)
Thursday, November 18
Day 5: Queenstown – Auckland – Rotorua Today we’ll fly to the North Island and after landing in Auckland, we drive through beautiful landscape to the dramatic geothermal landscape of Rotorua. One-third of Rotorua’s population has Maori roots dating back to their arrival in New Zealand over 1,000 years ago, making this city a thriving cultural center. Upon arrival, we visit the Agrodome which will give you insight into how wool, one of New Zealand’s premier products, and how it is processed. Tonight you will experience a traditional Maori welcome and Hangi meal followed by an authentic evening of Maori entertainment.«(B, D)
Friday, November 19
Day 6: Rotorua – Auckland This morning, we visit Te Puia, New Zealand’s premier Maori cultural and geothermal experience. You’ll be truly amazed by the landscape of erupting geysers, bubbling mud pools and other geothermal wonders. Here, the Maori keep their culture alive by teaching the tribal youth traditional carving, weaving and dancing. Later, we travel back to Auckland, the “City of Sails,” consistently rated one of the best places in the world to live. Auckland has the highest Polynesian population in the world, imbuing the vibrant cultures from many Pacific islands into its chic atmosphere. Upon arrival, we visit the Agrodome which will give you insight into how wool, one of New Zealand’s premier products, is processed.” (B)
Saturday, November 20
Day 7: Auckland Get to know the best of Auckland during a panoramic city tour featuring America’s Cup Village, vibrant Queen Street, the Auckland Harbour Bridge, and spectacular views from the top of Mt. Eden, one of 53 dormant volcanoes throughout the area. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner. (B, D)
Sunday, November 21
Day 7: Auckland – Home Our tour ends today in Auckland. Depart for home with countless fond memories to share with friends and family. (B)

Cancellation Policy for Australia and New Zealand Packages and Group Airfare: From the time of initial deposit until July 31, 2010, there is a $75.00 penalty for cancellation. From August 1 – 31, 2010, the cancellation penalty is the amount of the deposit. From September 1 – 30, 2010, the cancellation penalty is 25% of the total package price plus 100% of the airfare (including taxes and fees). From October 1 – 16, 2010, the cancellation penalty is 50% of the total package price plus 100% of the airfare (including taxes and fees). From October 17 until the last day of travel, the cancellation penalty of 100% of the total package price including airfare (and taxes and fees). “No-shows” will receive no refund. There is no refund in the event of interruption or cancellation after the start of the journey.
Cancellation insurance: Optional trip insurance is highly recommended and available through Amazing Journeys, LLC. Information will be sent with your tour confirmation.
